Join a Water-related Group

The Office of Lakes and Watersheds works with more than 30 organizations in the county that are working to protect and improve the quality of our surface waters, preserve and restore natural landscapes, and enhance recreational opportunities.  These groups play a critical role in resource conservation and protection in Dane County and are always looking for more people to join their effort, either by becoming members, subscribing to their newsletters, or attending their events.

In addition to these water-related groups, there are many other organizations that sometimes work on water and natural resource issues.

Check out our list of active groups in the area and contact them to see how you can get involved.  You can also check out our Interactive Watershed Map to search for your address, see what watershed you live in, and learn what groups are active in that area.
